Voter Fraud in North Carolina

By Scott Horton

Hot on the heels of news about the closing of a voter fraud case targeting Ann Coulter following the unsolicited intervention of a senior FBI figure come reports out of North Carolina that an indictment for voting fraud has been handed down. Curiously, the U.S. attorney and the Justice Department had no interest whatsoever in battling this voter fraud case. I wonder why. It turns out that the defendant is Michael Aaron Lay, and he’s a staffer to Representative Patrick McHenry. Both are Republicans. Again, clear-cut evidence of how the Justice Department’s action or inaction turns completely on the partisan credentials of the target.
