Però ne la giustizia sempiterna

la vista che riceve il vostro mondo,

com’ occhio per lo mare, entro s’interna;

che, ben che da la proda veggia il fondo,

in pelago nol vede; e nondimeno

èli, ma cela lui l’esser profondo.
