Ex-Congressman John Sweeney Cleared of Some Wrongdoing

It seems that former New York Congressman John Sweeney, a Republican who lost his re-election bid last fall, has been treated unfairly by the press. Earlier this week it was reported that Sweeney had been pulled over by state troopers while allegedly driving drunk and with a 23-year-old female passenger seated on his lap. Today, the facts have emerged and Sweeney appears to have gotten a bum rap: the female passenger, it turns out, was 24.
