The Washington Post’s Principled Stand on Private vs. Public Schools

“Michelle Obama’s visits to two private schools and her inquiries about Washington’s public schools have sparked the inevitable public vs. private debate,” the Post said in an editorial today. “We won’t be weighing in because we would never presume to tell any parents where to send their children to school.”

And also because it would be embarrassing to weigh in since so many top people at the Post send their kids to elite private schools like the ones the Obamas are looking at.
