By Michel Houellebecq and Bernard-Henri Lévy, from Ennemis publics, a collection of their recent correspondence published in October in France by Flammarion and Grasset. The pair undertook the project as an “experiment with confessional literature.” Houellebecq is the author of several novels, including The Elementary Particles. Lévy has written more than a dozen works of philosophy and journalism, including American Vertigo. Translated from the French by Atossa Abrahamian.
