Charlotte Dumas traveled to western Nevada in the winter and spring of 2013 to photograph wild horses in the foothills of Dayton, Stagecoach, and Silver Springs, and others at Northern Nevada Correctional Center, in Carson City, where inmates train captured mustangs and prepare them for auction.

is a photographer based in Amsterdam. Her monograph on the wild horses of Nevada, The Widest Prairies, 
was published by oodee in November. Anima, her video of the burial horses of Arlington National Cemetery, 
is currently on view at De Pont Museum of Contemporary Art, in Tilburg, the Netherlands.
