Yochi Dreazen of the Wall Street Journal reports on Dick Cheney’s surprise visit to Baghdad. Seems Cheney was most focused on keeping the press away:
At one point, Cheney emphasized to the assembled journalists that “this is just a photo spray.” Later in the day, as reporters filed into an embassy conference room for another photo of Cheney they overheard him tell his staff “then we kick the press out.”
Not yet able to confirm whether, as expected, he made his trip out to Iraq on board of his favorite plane, The Spirit of Strom Thurmond.
