services industry as well as four of their major trade association allies scheduled at least 70
fundraisers for members of Congress and major party committees between Election Day 2008
and the end of June. Lobbyists and PACs of major TARP recipients and their allied trade
associations made $6 million in federal campaign contributions in this time period, according to
contribution data reported to the secretary of the Senate.
