In Sunday’s New York Times, columnist Joe Nocera debates Dan Baum, author of the new book Gun Guys: A Road Trip, which Baum wrote after publishing his August 2010 Harper’s Magazine cover story, “Happiness Is a Worn Gun: My concealed weapon and me.” During their exchange, Baum and Nocera discuss the fine points of gun safety, the kinds of gun-control laws America should pass, and the need for a moderate counterpart to the National Rifle Association.
