A study published in The Condor reported that trapped brown-headed cowbirds fed a diet of white millet, game-bird chow, and sunflower seeds in Tippecanoe County, Indiana, appear more alert when a remote-controlled plane flying toward them is fitted with LEDs with a wavelength of 4,700 angstroms.
