Weekend Read: Confessions of a G.O.P. hit man

Adjust

Martin Eisenstadt’s new memoir, One Man’s (Wildly Inappropriate) Adventures with the Last Republicans, is essential reading for political junkies. Some readers of this blog may recall that Eisenstadt worked for the McCain campaign, heads up the Hardy Institute for Freedom and Democracy, and is a noted political pundit who can be seen in YouTube videos discoursing on a range of important topics. In the book, Eisenstadt reveals heretofore undisclosed tidbits from the campaign trail, including a full account of the Sarah Palin shopping sprees and an inside look at McCain’s debate preparations. Of course, there are those who claim that Eisenstadt is a fraud, and that neither he nor the Harding Institute even exist. Read the book and decide for yourself.
